WHAT ARE COOKIE? WHAT COOKIE ARE USED? HOW TO ENABLE OR DISABLE COOKIE?
Cookie are small text files that are stored on your device and that allow you to personalise your online browsing or simply make it easier for you (by storing, for example, the language in which you wish to consult a site, your login credentials for restricted areas). Thanks to cookie, it is therefore possible to collect information about your online browsing and use it to facilitate or personalise your browsing experience.
We use various types of cookie, differing in type and purpose. In general, cookie can be divided into two categories: ‘technical’ cookie and ‘profiling’ cookie.
• Technical cookie ensure optimal use of our website by making it smoother and easier to navigate and are used for the sole purpose of enabling the smooth use of our online services. We need to use these cookie because, without them, some sections of our website would not be accessible or would be difficult to use. We do not ask for your consent to use them, it is not possible to disable them and the legal basis for us to use them is our legitimate interest in the smooth operation of our website. Functionality cookie that enable navigation according to a selected set of criteria (e.g. language) also fall within the category of technical cookie. In addition, analytical cookie are also assimilated to technical cookie, through which we are only aware of statistical information, collected in aggregate form regarding the number of visitors and how they use our website.
• Profiling cookie are used to collect information relating to your browsing habits (pages visited, items placed in your shopping cart, etc.): this data is used by us to offer you personalised content and targeted advertising. Profiling cookie may be proprietary (or first-party) if managed directly by Cantiere del Pardo or third-party, i.e. owned by our business partners.
All profiling cookie (both proprietary and third party cookie) can be enabled/disabled using our Cookie Settings or by changing the settings on the browser you are using to browse the web.
Please note that profiling cookie, although marked with a tick, will only actually work if you click the ‘Accept’ button located on the cookie banner on our website. Therefore, profiling cookie only collect information about your browsing on the basis of your express consent.
